Has anyone clipped already????

Is it wrong that i am considering clipping already. My boy is sooooo hairy already and i have got to take his feathers off anyway so its all just a bit too tempting to whack it all off!lol. Cant believe he has got so much coat coming through so early, have started rugging him in the hope it would put him off but i dont think it has!

This is a fairly recent but very scruffy picture of him, his coat has got worse since too...its depressing really!!

Havent yet but think i will have by end of sept! I know a lot who clip all through the summer so you wont be the first to clip now!

Haven't yet, but this is the 1st year I haven't had to clip through the summer, so I'm guessing it won't be long before I have to start clipping again...................Dam hairy coloureds!!!!!

I havent but a friend of mine clipped 2 weeks ago.Her boy sweats at the sign of work

I have not yet but am going to soon I think. he is loosing his summer coat and sweats up pretty easy. I will only take the front half of him off so I dont have to rug as much !!! was hoping not to clip at all this year but hey ho

He is doing spons rode 21 sept for 3 hours and not sure he will survive without clip.

I didn't do it this week because of the lousy weather and then we went on a pleasure ride today and the poor thing was really hot and I wished I had. I think your horse tells you when its the right time

Yep I clipped today! My 18 year old had started growing his winter coat early and was getting too hot when working, we have a 12 mile pleasure ride Monday and I didn't want him getting too hot.
