hi my saddle has really faded and was wondering if anyone has every dyed their saddle and which product they used ?? im really nervous it will go wrong as the saddle cost me £600 second hand

I bet my boots that the very day you decide to wear your brand new competition kit, white breeches, all your pals have decided to come along to cheer you on, it pours with rain and you make a bit of an impression.
It is possible to dye bridles, but would not risk it with saddle, maybe you could ask saddler.

Stone dead I presume?

I would think before trying to change the colour as your breeches will end up that colour too....not a good look brown bum breeches at a show.....you would get some weird looks and avoidance. lol!!

Could have killed one or two saddles myself. There used to be a product to dye leather shoes, try a cobblers perhaps. I have with repeated layers of shoe polish & polishing turned brown boots black, leather ones that is.

Yes, although it was synthetic. Unfortunately, despite the dye promising it was rain fast, it seeped whenever Al rode, meaning she had suspicious brown stains on her bum and legs after her rounds!
