has anyone else seen face book page called equine only auction g

Ive never seen this before. Im not sure what to make of it. Its Ebay really but people are selling ponies and horses with an end date of auction and a starting bid.

I've seen it. Don't really see it as an issue, though it doesn't seem to attract many serious buyers from what I've seen

I've been watching it for the last week or so, and as CWC says, not many serious buyers. what does spring to mind though is unlike ebay where there are terms and conditions, there is no such 'protection' on facebook. Can see it becoming a scammers haven before too long

Found it a bit strange to be honest?

Surely when you sell a horse you'd like to met the new owners and spend time with them before sending your horse home with them?

I'm don't know the ins and outs of this website though so I don't know what to think without not totally knowing all the facts.

A friend used to to see if it would work for her and attract viewings but she just had a lot of time wasters.

I think its a little disgusting. As said, they should be meeting new owners and making sure the pony is suitable. But then there are just wasters who get them and "need it gone by tomoro!" and don't really care who takes it.

I have seen it but also seen people just posting on FB horse sites and then auctioning horses!!!! sad but I guess a last resort for people getting rid of horses before winter. I would not buy but lots of rich people buy horses unseen over the net for huge money especially race horses. I guess it is going to be seen more now.
