The past few days i have found my horse sweating in the stable (not yesterday) im thinking its because of the heat as yesterday was cooler than other recent days.
Has anyone else's horses been getting hot?

My hairy yak of a shetland has been so hot she's being clipped again. Even the horses that have been clipped once and grown a bit are hot, this muggy weather is causing so many problems!

mine was dripping yesterday stood in the stable!! seriously need to take some hair off but can't when shes sweating like this arghhhhh!!!

Yes, we have a 30 yr old cob who has always been a hot little thing. She is drenched in the stable atm. We don't really want to clip her, in case it comes cold soon.
My draft mare was clipped out when we bought her last winter, which I though odd as I knew that she hadn't been ridden much. Now I know that it was because she sweats like mad when just stood in the stable - and as for when she's ridden, well just a short walk up the road leaves her wet through. We were going to give her a bib clip today but by the time she'd dried off enough to clip, the fireworks had started and she was rather agitated, so we left her again.

my WB is actually starting to drop weight from being too hot but last night it was -2 and we're focast the same for tonight so its a bit of a shock to the system lol

I have a very hairy native and even though he had a bib/belly clip last week is still finding it warm daytime as is still so unseasonably warm, feel sorry for him, especially if the herd have a hooley round the field which is a regular occurence! He's definitely more comfortable with his clip though. Before he was clipped he would sweat overnight in his stable. Temps have dropped here a bit at night the last couple of nights which is helping.

Charisma has, which is not helfpul seeing as I ride before work! I think she was clipped a bit earlier than normal seeing as the weather was so hot in October and her winter coat hadn't grown through yet. She can't be cold, it's mild and she has a MW on!

Yup my tb has .. And she's fully clipped .. At first I had her in a lw and a stable sheet.. She got too hot so just her lw now and she's still sweating but it's in between her back legs? Shes 6 but gets hot even when she's been clipped lol!

No... but she's a (not very hairy) cob, with a bib clip living out unrugged. Well, she's had a LW on for a few nights where it's been forecast to be cold, but otherwise it's just been too warm, even with the rain.

where are all these warm temps then?? My lad only sweats when being worked, he is a TB who is out in MW combo in day and in at night with neck folded back.
He is being clipped again to day though as i cant wait around for him to dry with the short days. He will then go into a HW for a few days atleast.

My fully clipped WB has been too hot for thick rugs overnight and is perfectly warm in his Rambo fleece. My Arab who is unclipped has been sweating at night so decided to take her rugs off, until saturday.Weather has been so mild in the south east, even the grass is growing at long last.Got colder yesterday but this is not expected to last as the forcast is for double figures temerature wise in our area this week.
