hi there not sure if this is in the right place sorry. Has anyone ever came accross a Registerd Highland pony Called Claymore Flora Macdonald, dam - Claymore Sophie and sire - Bodach Dhu of Glenshiel. or know anything about her sire or dam ? it would be really helpfull if i could find out. Thank You x

If you type Claymore Sophie into google, it comes up with allbreedspedigree breeding, which can help you trace owners.

Other than that, the Claymore prefix was registered in 1978 (1st January if you want to be exact) by a Miss P M Alexander with the Highland Pony Society. Googling this info could help you find out contact info of the stud, and you can go from there finding out any information you need.

Hope this helps

sire:

Born: 6.6.1989 Breeder: Mrs Mary Campbell I.; Ross-Shire, Scotland. Owner: Mrs Tracey Ferguson; Invernesshire, Scotland. Black in colour

has very successful progeny, mostly being placed top 3 and a lot have been reserve champion/ champion.

Not much on dam, but looks to have bred some successful progeny but no competition results for herself. Pale yellow dun in colour and born in 1991.

a few people on this thread have some info on sires owner, who can probably give you more information too.

Mrs P M Alexander (Pam Alexander) complies stud book lists for the Highland Pony Society, and keeps her herd on the island of Lismore.

(I just got all this info from a 5 minute google search. If you were to do this, you may have more time/ desire to find more information)

Link to allbreedspedigree, where she has many generations of breeding recorded

There's a highland pony appreciation group on Facebook. They're a friendly and helpful lot so may be able to give you more info, if that helps.
