Has anyone ever compared the leather vs synthetic Inky Dinky saddle?

My remaining lead rein pony has a tiny sharer. I’ve been lending my son to lead her while her mum holds her leg, but we really need a better solution. I have seen the synthetic Inky Dinky before when visiting friends and it seemed very stiff with hard edges. Is the leather one much better? All I can find second hand and close enough to pick up in person is synthetic, but I really don’t want to put the small child off because the saddle is not comfortable - my pony adores the child beyond all reason!

My grand daughter has the synthetic version. Take a look at the company's fitting video, and consider using a low heat hair dryer to warm the fabric and mould it to the pony (or leave it in the sun).The saddle is made up of thick pads and heavy duty velcro, which can be moved to give a secure fit. As long as the small person can sit upright and not collapse sideways, she should be fine.

I didn’t like them at all (I had the leather) so I sold it after a couple of months.

I managed to get my hypermobile child riding from the age of 3 on my rather reluctant 13.2 in a cub saddle.
