I have been given a newish pair of Pikeur Breeches (65% cotton) - the only problem is they are white, and I would like them to be cream - has anyone any experience of dying breeches?

Not dying, but I did read on here once someone suggested putting the white object in the wash with a couple of cheap yellow dusters and letting the colour run... although I haven't tried it myself.

I haven't, but I know I talked about it with Mum a while ago and she didn't really think it would work except on just plain cotton jods as synthetic fibres like nylon, vicose and lycra don't pick up dye very well.

I tried the duster trick to make my 'vanilla' breeches more of a corn colour. They definately changed colour and got darker. They did go 'Duster' yellow though and were a bit bright.
