Have you ever had a problem with your horse not wanting to eat Baileys Lo cal balancer?
We just bough a tub of Naf general purpose vits & mins but pony wouldn't eat it, we only gave him a small amount to get him used to it but he definitely didn't like it! I know every horse is different but I don't want to have to keep buying different things until we get it right!

Is that a mix or a supplement? What doesn't he like, the NAF stuff or the lo cal? i am confused?

I did try my welsh x on low cal coarse mix (don't know what make) a few years back. He doesn't actually need any feed but the others get fed so you have to give him something too. Safe to say he did NOT like it, took one mouthful and then looked at in disgust. I guess the same sort of look i'd give if i was given a dinner of rice cakes! Lol. he wasn't going to eat it, end of. Basically he has a very sweet tooth and evidently the lo cal wasn't to his liking.

He didn't like the Naf stuff, which is a powdered supplement, and I was thinking I might try him on Baileys Lo cal balancer so he still gets all his vits/mins but maybe something that tastes nicer?

Ah right - it's probably just the NAF stuff is quite strong. We fed a couple of ours on that Naf mudguard stuff and they didn't much like it but we reduced the amount down a lot and then increased it gradually. No experience of the lo cal though.

My veteran horse has been eating Baileys Lo Cal for years. He will wolf it down just on its own in a feed bowl, or out of my hand. He loves it. My other 3 neds are now being fed it and they all adore it. I think it's a yeast based product as it smells sort of marmite-y if you know what I mean. Not cheap but I find a bag lasts ages.
