If you've got enough land, then make your own. We did one last year and its been worth its weight in gold. So handy when we've just broken-in horses too, not having to take them out. We used the perimeter of our land to make one and it was done in a few days. Didn't cost us anything apart from paying the neighbouring farmer to use his tractor. If you want to hire the gallops in Newmarket, start saving now!
Sorry not at the moment - we're too water logged here to have any visitors even arriving to park up. Once the summer is here and we're able to get out to lay parking surfaces, then contact us again and you'd be welcome to pop over. If you click on our name, you will see our website listed under personal details, go into that and you will see the track on the aerial photo. The first thing you'll see is a circular track which we use to start the youngsters off and then from there, you can take any track off of it to go onto the outside track itself. Look forward to meeting you at the Newmarket Shows - schedules are nearly ready. Just waiting for the rest of the sponsorship.
Sometimes. Haven't been that keen on them since my horse pulled up lame, having pulled something in his back. Moral of the story is carefully select a gallop track that isn't too deep!
People hire out our gallops, its £10 per horse. You can also hire it for exclusive use along with the xc jumps, seems like once you use them its addictive!
Id LOVE to have gallops near me. I dont think we have any anywhere even remotely near me as northern scotland doesnt have much need for them unfortunately
