Has anyone ever taken part in a clinical trial?

I may be taking part in one if I pass the screening session in a few weeks.

Just wondering if anyone has done one before?

I've done the lab work for lots of them but I don't suppose that's what you mean!

I work on clinical trials as a clinical research associate. Which phase will u be taking part, I assume phase 1???

My friends son did one earlier this year. I can't remember what the drug was but it was something already approved for use in another country.

It did involve him having to stay at the clinic in London for 4 or 5 days so they could monitor him (blood tests etc) and control his diet. He said it was boring staying in the clinic but I think he was paid about £1000.

Yeah its phase 1. 5 over night stay and the a couple of follow up out patients appointments. I love to read and cross stitch so I am more than happy to sit around for a few days and be paid for it x

I work on phase 2 to phase 4 trials. I love it, I think it is great knowing that what I do may help people in the future! It contributes to something worthwhile.well done u, I Wld do it but due to my job, am not really allowed. I think it takes a lot of guts.

Thats great thank you. They have posted it for me today so ill scan it once I receive it. Its for a crohns/colitis drug so close to my heart as I am a sufferer. Make a change to be poked and podded for a good reason, plus the extra cash will come in handy x
