I have been on both sides of the camera! I am a horse artist, and need to photograph my own material due to copyright issues. If Im close enough to ask, I will, but its not always possible! I take a lot of pictures on the gallops at Newmarket (so if you are a work rider you could feature in my files lol) at shows/sales. I am always polite though, I would never shove a big camera rudely in front of a rider and start snapping, thats just weird!
I was hacking through our village with a friend once on my cob, when a car pulls up behind us, with american visitors in. Turns out they were staying with family and had seen us pass the house, so they jumped in the car to catch up! They were so excited it was really funny, got the child out of the car to pose for photos and went on and on about how amazing it was that we rode 'down the street' 'OMG thats soooooo amayyyzing' 'they will never believe their eyes back home' *chuckle*
We rode on in stunned silence for a minute before collapsing with fits of the giggles. Hilarious.
