Has anyone ever tried these boots?

I need to replace my long boots, I've narrow calves so it's always a PITA. Has anyone ever tried these boots as they seem too cheap to be true!

I've never had any boots made by Shires before, what's the grip like on the bottom? I need something that will grip to my cheese graters as I have a wonky ankle.

They'll be for lessons and general RC stuff.

I got a pair and sent them back. I couldn't get my foot into the boot as it was really tight. Might not be an issue if you have narrow feet as well as calves though. I just found them the oddest shape! I bought a cheap pair of Brogini synthetic leather boots to tide me over till I could sort something better. They lasted months of daily hard wear and then 6 months of being stored crumpled and muddy. I cleaned them and they are back in use. I've never bothered getting any new boots as I like these so much. I'm sure I paid around fifty quid for them!

You can get them in round or square toe, the square toe giving a bit more room.

It was the bit where your foot goes into the boot, sort of below the ankle. I don't know if I got a dodgy pair as I just couldn't see a normal foot fitting in there!

Lol. You could be right. OH isn't always normal! ?
Seriously, for a male his legs are incredibly skinny! (Hope he doesn't see this)?
