I know I'm not the only one who does this. It's basically a bib clip but the whole neck and some shoulder taken off. Has anyone got any photos so I can show a friend. Who I can't help tomorrow but wants this clip.

Thank you

I think there is no standard,
I tend to draw a straight line from ears to point of elbow and then straight underneath his belly giving about an inch further back than where his girth sits. It lets me take off the silly beard but leaves some on the next/ sholders. But then I do have some odd clips sometimes as I make them up to take off as little as needed to avoid extra rugs/ hard feed!

Are you referring to the " dealer clip"?

A bib clip: A narrow strip of hair is removed from the underside of the neck to the chest between the legs.
Trace clip: The clip removes hair from the underside of the neck, the belly and the quaters in a straight line. The head can be half clipped, fully clipped or not clipped at all.
Dealer clip: The hair is removed from the underside of the neck, the belly and chest. No hair is removed from the quaters as it finishes at the flank. The head can be half clipped, fully clipped or not clipped at all.
Blanket clip: The neck and the flank are clipped. This leaves and area of hair that looks like a blanket over the hind - quaters and back. The head can be half clipped, fully clipped.
Hunter clip: This clip leaves only hair in a small area in the saddle area. The head is fully clipped but can be half clipped.
All these clips leave the legs on for warmth and protection.
Fulll clip: every thing is removed from the body head and legs

Is this more what you are thinking of?
The pic is a couple of years old, and in a summer coat so it's not easy to see - sorry I don't have anything better!

Haha! Lazy Chaser is a brill name!! I call it Bib and Braces!!
It's ace if they are in the shafts just tootling out, that's what I did it for, and I have done it on quite a few show ponies too.

I'll have to take a pic on a better colour (bay maybe, or chestnut?) so that it shows up.

Happy clipping :) xx

Went up yard at lunch time and ended up clipping anyway this is what I meant.

Will take rest odd when my clippers are back from being serviced (borrowed friends in exchange of holding a horse lol)
