Its not what people say but what they dont say! You will really struggle to find something for that price mark. Horses that cheap are usually for a reason. If you dont mind an older schoolmaster you may pick one up fairly cheaply.

there seem to be quite a few around to loan at the mo, perhaps try horsemart and horsequest?

Perhaps try some local riding schools as well.
Even if they dont have anything they may know of something. And chances are if they as from an RS they will be safe plods!
Would assume as long as u dont mind having something a little more mature you'l find one, just keep looking.

You could contact the Blue Cross, Veteran Horse Society and Equine Market Watch (just for starters). They can find it hard to find permenant loan homes for oldies.
