Has anyone got an HKM Lauria Garrelli, long, down coat?

It looks lovely and warm, but being in Wales I need something to fend off the Welsh rain. It says that it has a 'water resistant finish' but what does that mean? Do you ride in yours?

I've got it. It's not worth the money in my opinion if you want a riding/yard coat. The flap at the back has press studs to fasten it, but as soon as you get into a car, walk or basically move, they undo and it drives me nuts as you end up with a massive folded flap if you're sat down or a cold bum when walking!!! It is a very warm coat, though and nice for evening winter walks or very cold days. I've never worn it in heavy rain, but I doubt it would stand up to serious stuff!

Snowboarding/skiing coat. TKMaxx will have loads in at this time of year and they're really cheap. And a decent pair of waterproof bottoms to go with it!

If you're anywhere near Bridgend (long shot...) a Musto outlet store has just opened with all their horsey and sailing stuff. Some great coats in there - I got mine for £25 down from ~£200.

I didn't know what coat you meant until I read Fransurrey's post about the poppers!
Yes I have one and completely agree with Fransurrey. It's very warm and I have worn it in a down pour and I was still dry, but I was only in the rain whilst bringing a horse in.
The poppers undo all the time (good too know it's not just me!) and it's pretty annoying having a cold bum!
I can't remember how much I paid for mine, had it about 2 years, but personally I do think it was worth the money, because even though the poppers annoy me, it's my go to coat in winter.
Also when it's clean (rare for mine!) it looks very smart with show gear at a competition.

I saw something similar in Tog 24 for £50 I think. Was down, black with a zip but only shower proof.
In my opinion if you want to be warm and dry get a shooting jacket.
