We have had such a rubbish summer, and hardly no rain here so both my paddocks are bone dry!, the fields are over grazed, im feeding hay alot now. is anyone else in the same boat and how are you coping, im getting obsessed with grass now lol

Nope, and it's bloomin' brilliant! No muzzle, 24/7 turnout = happy horse!! They get a small tea with their vits in and a slice of hay each day, I am loving no grass tbh!

Yes, 25 acres of the blooming stuff!! Currently paddocking to keep the fat ones .. well not fat!

Loads! However it's rained and rained all summer up here, my field has ponds in it and mare already has mud-fever, going to bring them in soon which is a shame as plenty grass, though the field hadn't been used much until I rented it about a month ago.

We've got loads...which is rubbish as trying to keep the TB rock crunching with his bare feets....would love to have a dry dusty paddock with tumble weed flowing by...oh and we're in the most south eastern corner of the UK, so goodness knows how I have achieved this!!!

i have about 8 acre's of lush grass down here in cornwall, then i have the 3 acres were using and have been using for the whole summer!

:) no hay needed this winter hopefully!

yep lots here in leeds - my boy has been in a starvation paddock daily for 6 weeks - the grass is that lush he and 2 other good doers balloooned !

Loads here with me too!!
I'm going stir crazy topping it all the time to keep it under control! Even the (semi) poor doer is getting fat!
On the plus doubt I'll have to hay the fields this winter!

Lots of grass, although the fields are getting destroyed because we haven't had a dry day in weeks. Gateways are currently in winter mud mode :(

Can't wait for a bit of sunshine - the trees are already autumny colours and everywhere is absolutely soaked. Summer my backside :(

Be very careful where you ask that question, and to whom

We've got a bit here (North Oxfordshire) but we do need some more rain...

Loads - skinny TB is looking a but podgy (unheard of!) and 3 y.o is on starvation and soaked hay at night. We have a 3 acre summer field that hasn't been grazed as we just haven't needed it, and winter paddocks look good too! And we haven't had that much rain... unheard of for Wales, I'm sure we'll get it soon ;)

None here Shropshire/Wales boarder. Feeding mine hay, fields all brown Dont know how we are going to cope this winter, just hope the grass grows before then !!!!!!!!

We have too much for my Laminitic/EMS sufferer, who's having to be muzzled during the day and in at night, despite him being in our most overgrazed field.

But it doesn't matter how much grass we have available for my 2 year old, who prefers playing and getting himself into trouble to grazing

Somerset/Wilts border. Four horses on a 6 acre field and tons of grass, far too much. I've set up a track system.....lordy you should have seen the horse's faces when they saw it, the sulks, the tantrums!! Not happy, but not fat either.

We have loads!! If we didn't put the sheep on it the winter grazing would be up round your ears. Sheep are now off it and shoul grow back to a lovely field forthe boys
