Just wondered the pros and cons really?
Wagon has been weighed and will come in with enough payload but I dont know anything other than that to be concerned about.
Thanks for reading :)
Forgot to add its from HGV to 7.5t

Yes, bought a ten tonner and had it downrated to 7.5, no problems. Benefit was additional power and braking for hills. No downsides I could identify.

Great thanks, did you downrate it? If so is it just a paper exercise as VOSA were useless when I rang. Was your insurance affected in any way?
FallenAngel, luckily the payload is more than adequate for what I need but I did wonder that too :)

Insurance was not affected, but it needed a proper mechanic to downrate it because there were a number of little fiddles that had to be done with it to make it compliant, or so we were told. It didn't cost much, or take long.

I downrated a 10t to 7.5, basically everyone had assumed it was a 7.5 as it's was a very compact daf but it was a hunt box and I think had been uprated to take 3 hunters legally. No one had noticed till I opened the door and read the plate on the inside. And then didn;t believe me till I pulled it out and waved it around. It's not a high spec lorry so must have struggled with 3 big horses.

It had to go off to a leyland garage to be done, not sure how much it cost as the seller I bought it from paid for it.

Great, thanks for the input.
Seller has said they will sort it before I buy it. It looks like a 7.5t size wise so hopefully all will go well and I will soon have a new wagon :)
