Just wanted to know if you had, had any problems, I ordered from them last week, they have since sent me two lots of Dubarry's which are all scratched and was told:

It is the nature of these boots that they are constucted of a very soft leather which marks easily, but also has the ability to recover with little maintainence. Good quality leather does mark easily, that is why in days gone children were forced to polish and look after their footwaer. Modern footwear has all sorts of chemical treatments to prevent marks, these boots are made of traditionally tanned full grain leather without any man-made 'shield'.

So not only have I got to spend £250 for the boots but I also have to pay for a child to polish all the scratches out?? LOL

I bought a second hand Isabel Werth saddle from them, it was cheap and arrived quickly but it was absolutely filthy! I sold it because I didn't like it and made a good profit, once I had got all the grease and sweat off of it!!!

oh so I am not the only one then, funny as I have used them in the past with no problems but when I email and enquire or update them, all I get is snotty replies!!

They are quite local to me and are normally fantastic, so this seems quite strange for them! Ask to speak to Tom Day, is the owner and is great !

I've used them a few times and haven't had any problems. Their saddle fitters are also great!

And when I got my Dubarry's (at Badders) they weren't scratched, may have had a couple of little marks on but certainly weren't scratched!

Yes, although I'm not really complaining, they sent it very quickly and it was very cheap, I was just quite shocked at how dirty it was. You'd have thought someone would have given it a clean before sending it out wouldn't you? Same as your boots!

I bought two saddles from them after mine were stolen, they gave me a good deal due to my circumstances and were very quick to come and fit them, generally good all round service.

I bought a saddle off of them when I first got merlin..... It didnt even fit me, let alone merlin......

And I was told this six months later by the other saddle fitter that is there...... before he realised that I bought it from them originally!!!!

Never had any problems with their general stock though
