tracing there horses history? if yes how did you do it? i would be interested to find out about my girl but don't really know where to start

I contacted the stud where my horses stallion was at the time of breeding and they gave me loads of information.

Do you have any previous owner information on the passport?

google her registered name
try nedonline
allbreedpedigree.com
write to or ring up previous owners in her passport....
check BD/BE/BSJA records if you think she's ever competed with them

for a start!

Yes. I contacted my horse's breeders when I bought him (it should be on the passport) and found out quite a bit about him.

That interestingly lead on to a very nice HHO also contacting me who knew the breeders very well and who was able to give me some lovely background to my horses origins.

Yes, Jack was bought from a dealer, who was able to give us information about his previous owner. Our farrier (also called Jack) and a friend of our YO also knew his first owner. They both told us that his sire was a trotter road racer, and have seen the mare in the field. Jack was broken in and trained and schooled as a two year old, and did lots of pleasure drives. And, at this point he wasn't scared of tractors!

have spoken to the breeder but he only had he until she was a yearling then she went throught the sales. thats all i know. no previous owners on her passport as it a wetherbys passport. i know her breeding, race record ect. but that still leave 5yrs i don't know about. she doesn't show any extra info on NED so i think that means she isn't registered with BD/BE/BSJA.

any other ideas?????
