My horse was suddenly extremely ill a few years ago. With in a few hours the vet was suggesting he was pts. He was old and prognosis was not good. I just wanted one day with him to collect my thoughts as it was such a shock. I stayed with him, sleeping that night in his stable. In the morning there was a tiny tiny tiny improvement. I looked in to his eyes and saw the trust in them so I said no not today. That's how it carried on, tiny improvements. Two years down the line he is retired, well and happy.
