Has anyone had their horse at their wedding ?!

My wedding is 4 days before Christmas so some sort of coat maybe required :)

What you need is a beautiful cathedral length velvet cloak as part of your wedding ensemble ... then it would drape beautifully over the back of your horse! Also very practical for winter weddings as they are so wonderfully warm. :D

In the unlikely event I ever get married, I want Neddy there!
I would say I want my woofer, Annie there too, but she's 15 now, bless her. I don't think she'll be around if I ever decide to settle down.

Some beautiful pictures in this thread :) makes me want to rent a dress and just have a photoshoot!

I did - friend of mind brought him over as a surprise! Plaited him up and put matching (to my flowers) flowers in mane and tail. I did not get on him though!

I did. I rode my Arab, my husband rode my TB, and my bridesmaid rode our daughter's old pony....

Yes, huge grey hunter and 2 foxhounds. My mother went dotty !!

I was not told my friends were planning on bringing my beloved hunter and although my husband did know all about the horse, he did not know his brother was bringing the 2 foxhounds we had walked the year before.

We married at the registry office and access was tricky for larger vehicles. The office was at the top of a long drive and at the bottom of the drive was the local fire station. Apparently the firemen helped my friend park and unload and even provided warm water to wash a stain picked up on the journey, my horse was getting on in years and snow white.

The horse had flowers in his bridle and a garland, he stood by the registry office window which was open.

The only anxious moment was when our huntsman jumped on him and blew the find. The horse only had an in hand bridle on and did a few circuits around his handler, thankfully missing my mother !!

The first day of our honeymoon was spent cubbing and the horse had his flowers put back into his bridle.

Two of my friends have ridden to their weddings and I would have dearly loved to have had my mare at mine but she only has the ability to stand still for about 20 seconds, is not not very social and is prode to flightiness :(

My hubbys cousin had her horse at her wedding, friends at the livery yard got her ready and took her. It was lovely. I wanted ours at our wedding but there was no one to take them as they would have needed transport.

I'm getting married next year and I want my share horse there... Even if I can't ride her I still want her there! Dog will be there for sure :-)

Yep!!! Was a breezy June day hence the cardi, pony had ribbons plaited in mane :D
