Grace has a swollen leg which resulted from lymphangitis. My vet wants me to work her hard tomorrow morning (she is 100% sound) and then take her down to the vets to have it looked at again. He thinks it is a band of scar tissue which is preventing the fluid from moving smoothly up and down the leg and has suggested that ultrasound will help break it down.

Has anyone else used this?

Yep, my mare got a kick on the side of her hock bone that formed a callus lump that started to aggetate the ligaments and tendons. She had intense laser and ultrasound for 2 weeks, after several progress scans the lump has broken down a great deal from the inside. To look at the lump from the outside it has changed shape considerably but is still noticeable. I'm very pleased with the result and will keep having her done every few weeks, but from the scans you can see a very good improvement to the area of scar tissue. Hope this all makes sense!
