Hi all

I have a ten year old skewbald mare who I have recently bought. She has a red/brown substance around her bottom creases which come back after cleaning. The skin is not broken and it doesn't look like blood but I have not seen this before? The substance looks like the pink leather softener you can buy if anyone knows it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

quite normal! just skin secretions mixed with dust. you only see it cos she has pink skin

Normal. Just clean with a sponge/cotton wool and apply a bit of sudocrem.
