Hes really well, sound, lovely movement, great jump...just completely unrideable
He does not want to go forward when lunging and if you put a saddle pad and roller on his back goes up, ears back and he looks uncomfortable.Does he have any other symptoms at all? The hypersensitivity to touch always makes me think of lymes but I'm not sure it occurs without any other symptoms but then it's not the easiest to diagnose anyway.
I would certainly agree with treating the hindgut too.
Thank you. They were physio and osteopathic. All the other suggestions seem very sensible I just wondered who you had to check the back? My horse recently developed a twitching muscle in his shoulder. Physio wasn't much help, normal vet didn't seem too worried but prescribed 2 weeks off on bute (mainly for the 1/10th lamesness in my 24 yo ex-eventer!). This morning I got a chiro vet out who spent 2 hours with him and found all sorts of joints not quite working properly and muscles overcompensating and did adjustments and some acupuncture. If no luck with the hind gut ulcer route etc I just wonder if looking at overall alignment and joint function might be worth a try.
I’ve looked at that too. Apart from being lethargic there’s no there’s symptomsDoes he have any other symptoms at all? The hypersensitivity to touch always makes me think of lymes but I'm not sure it occurs without any other symptoms but then it's not the easiest to diagnose anyway.
