Weren't you one of the ones being all principled and noble about never taking horses to an abattoir yet you offload them at sales??????

lmao you are complete waste of my time.
i actually have no issue with horses going to an abattoir .
what i had an opinion on is jmo7 listing peoples horses as "dog meat"
so get your facts right and go cause a fight on someone elses post.

Love this. Your unwarranted pony has probably gone for meat, and yet you have the nerve to bitch about JM's posts criticising this kind of activity.
(aimed at OP)not Flames slave - you hit the nail on the head there.

yes sold there before, cash came within a month, but as with all sales it can be slow. i would wait another week then go find him at either cambridge or duckhurst. FYI When we sold there I took 3 x 13hh ponies and they all made over a grand a piece, we took them there as they have good facilities to show them off and we could jump them all.

siennamum i doubt very much they would go for meat as the least ive seen shetlands go for is 300 odd pounds and ponys and horses the lowest ive seen them go for is really round 600 and there is very few who go for that little most go further than that that is not meat money, plus a lot of these horses are personal horses apart from the travellers and dealers horses who not very many people touch. You obviously also dont get how heartwrenching it is to sell a horse there

I don't get how heartwrenching it is to sell a horse/pony at a sale like Cambridge primarily because I wouldn't do it.
I would send a pony for slaughter because I would know it had met a humane end, but wouldn't send one to the sales because any numpty could buy it & if it were an unwarranted pony then there's a good chance it would go for meat.
