Thomas is a Welsh X though.
Ant one else ???

Ash hasn't been rugged all winter - he isn't clipped and Joe had his first naked day today - he has a full clip. I did check his 'armpits' and ears when he came in and he was plenty warm enough!!

The mad TB only has a bib clip so he has been totally naked in this lovely weather, oldie has had lightweight waterproof as it was a little windy up there today!

I took my two's rugs off a couple of days ago when all this lovely sun kicked in. They are however only a rising 2 yr old (although he is a big trakhener wuss) and my mare who is being turned away for injury and going to go meet a nice husband soon so neither are clipped.

yep cause i'm a cruel mum. wind isn't cold anymore and they all carrying a bit too much weight so all the rugs have come off

Housemate's two and Dan lost their stable rugs a good week + ago, Fleur will be without hers for the first time tonight and all 4 have had their outdoor rugs off either yesterday or today. If it rains heavily they will get their outdoor rugs (lightweight as possible) back but only if it rains! as said cruel mum i am

Yep! All horses here; WB's, TB's, QH's, Appaloosa's, Standardbreds and Paints ALL have their rugs off today and they are now stored away and will not be coming back out again until they go off to be washed and repaired for next winter.

Tilly was allowed to run around with no clothes on yesteday

(see pics in gallery!) Will be watching the weather and will pull clothes off on warmer dry days from now on!

Yep my mare was naked today and she loved it. It was so nice to see them all in the field with no rugs on and the sun on their backs. Hopefully shiny coats will return soon

Ours went out naked properly yesterday (ie naked the whole time, not just a couple of hours) and repaid me by getting caked in mud.
His rugs are clean though, nooo, he never rolls in them.

It's so difficult at this time of year!!!! It's freezing, poring with rain and windy at night and then lovely and sunny during the day..... A rug nightmare (especially if you only go down once day). My horses live out and one is currently in his "lower middleweight rug", whilst the other is braving the elements naked (a pony looking a little porky). I think it depends on the breed and condition of the horse, as you don't want them to loose too much condition through trying to keep warm but you equally don't want a horse to fat going into spring.

Some have come off but mostly they're ones that have been wrecked by their owners.
Although it's very mild here at present we tend to have a terrible April with snow and sometimes chilly days with lots of rain.
Most years I curse the fact I have removed rugs when that happens.
I'm hoping global warming will extend to a milder spring this year!

Both of mine are fully clipped - alisha's has grown back quite a bit but she is still in m/w with neck and not coming in hot, jig was only clipped again about 3/4 weeks ago - still in h/w with neck although will probably change to m/w this week

Mo went into a light weight over the weekend, but it was left of last night, & as she was warm & the weather is set to be nice today so she has gone out naked!! Shadow & Prince are not clipped so they dont count. I will add that if she looks unhappy about it I can rug her at lunch time.

Amy's not rugged. However those that are have had the odd day without rugs on - and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing like a good scrub in the mud on a warm spring day!

I am thinking of taking Murphy's LW rug off soon, he hasnt been clipped and is finally in a yard where he can be hayed - so I might brave it as he was feeling uber-warm yesterday. x

Yes mine's out today with no rug (and she was fully clipped this year, but her summer coat is coming through now and is a TBxWB).

I'll still rug with either a medium weight of lightweight if the weather changes back, but on days like today and yesterday (when it hit 15-16 degs down here), then off the rugs come.

Mind you - still don't like the grooming job afterwards!

I did yesterday (Sunday) off my mare who is unclipped and Put cob's l/w on but have rugged the girlie up in l/w today too as rain is forecast - cloudy now but what a sunrise this morning. (Useless piece of info there!)
