I was just about to order some for our struggling Shetland. First I thought I'd see if people think they're any good. Has anyone tried them?

His rear feet need attention. He's been trimmed and is in pain before and after. He needs immediate pain relief. He'll be x-rayed next week. He's had lami in the fronts before and is x-rayed each year to see if there's any change (6 weeks ago, no more rotation). Didn't think to have the rears checked.

I have tried them and my boy was comfy in them, but being a stupid TB he kept getting them off in the field, this was with just glue holding them on, you can nail them on!
I did like them and they were a lot cheaper than imprint shoes!

Yes, extensively on two of my horses, you just need to make sure your farrier knows exactly how to shoe with them. I found both my horses did well in them.

Well they arrived yesterday with the special glue and gun, I wire brushed his soles, cleaned and degreased with methylated spirit and stuck then on. I'm really pleased he had pain relief straight away. I stabled him overnight and put him out this morning. He spent about 1/2hr bucking and cantering. He's gone from barely walking to a speed demon overnight :D

Do they have to be fitted by a farrier? Or did you do them yourself??

I fitted them myself. Our farrier trimmed 5 days before. They're made from a harder plastic/rubber and a softer silicon type material. The two part glue goes on the harder material and sets in a couple of minutes. I put a bit more glue in back for extra frog support.
