Has anyone tried Equivit Relax Horse?

She's on 24/7 turnout in a herd with ad lib forage, a mineral supplement tailored to her forage intake and Nupafeed MAH which does help her. I need a little more edge off still, I don't think I can do anything to improve her management.

Have you tried Magnesium and are you giving salt.
I’ve found Mag Ox helpful in the past especially at this time of year and again in Spring. It’s in most calmers anyway without the price label and marketing claims.
It can definitely help with spookiness if they’re deficient.

I agree I would supplement mag ox with salt. If you buy from intralabs it’s dirt cheap compared to most commercial calmers. Made such a difference to one of mine!

Too much magnesium can have the opposite effect and make them worse, Louis is awful if he doesn't need it he is literally dangerous to ride.

Have you tried acoustic ears when you ride or a titanium bonnet, calm beads can help also playing music on your phone while riding helps Louis sometimes.

Also is she doing enough mental and physically challenging exercise Louis is much worse if his not doing enough.

Some horses have very busy minds that need to be used to your advantage.

She does get salt.
She may not be doing enough challenging work - there is a vicious circle where she gets spookier so I do less. Although I did hack today with the threat of a gale starting. Hacking has been tricky this year with lots of forestry work going on so it's not open a lot of the time; keep hoping they will finish so I can get out at least twice a week.

Lots of horses at my yard, mine included, are on D&H placid. It takes a while to work but you notice if you run out and can’t get any for a few days.
