Has anyone tried 'NostrilVet' for horse allergies

mmm, here's one who's a tad cynical about "supplements" and products which are supposed to "fix" everything.

Have had a look at the link, but if you're interested in it for your Ned, I'd be inclined to e-mail the company and ask them if they would give you a list of active ingredients for a start.

If they can't/won't, then you could be just buying expensive gunk TBH.

Haven't used it but looking at the website, it's powdered cellulose. IMO their claim that "NostrilVet is clinically proven" in horses is a bit of a stretch, as it seems to be based on a small pilot study of dubious design (although cellulose powder is marketed for allergic rhinitis in humans).

If you do decide to give it a go, make sure you've got lots of headroom when you squirt, can't imagine any of my beasties standing still after the first squirt!

My vet asked me to trial it for my head shaker when it first came out. Unless they've since changed the container it comes in, I found it nigh on impossible to use. As it's a powder, after the first couple of squeezes of the bottle it comes in, you then have a layer of air between the nozzle and the powder. So you have to have a pretty powerful squeeze to then send a dose upwards into the horses nostril and mostly you get nothing, therefore I couldn't do any sort of trial of its efficacy.
