Has anyone used a Fulmer Wilma or Myler MB 04

It’s time I replace my horses bit. Has anyone used the above bits?
My horse is generally light and I rarely use more than a very light contact as mostly use on voice aids. However when I do have a firmer contact (still avg. to light) he can flip his head, snatch and be fussy with the contact. He can occasionally be strong and heavy but usually when he’s having a bad day so don’t want to bit him up because of it! He’s a cob so has a big tongue.

I’m thinking the Myler will be better because of the tongue relief?

You need a bit fitter to assess your horse. I used an MB33 as my horse had a fat tongue and is a bit mouthy. I still wasn't happy and when the bit fitter came she said it wasn't quite right for him and now I have this: https://www.horsemanshipsaddlery.uk/ourshop/prod_6371087-Orbit-Loose-Ring-Snaffle-Bit.html. Its better but basically the bit fitter said there isn't really room for a bit in his mouth!

Your best bet is to borrow or do a bit hire or at least buy second hand

I don’t like the bit fitter around here - unfortunately otherwise I would. Both of these are on the bot bank :)

It's a nice shape for a fleshy mouth but the OP's issues may be completely unrelated, but will at least also related to the ring/cheeks choice too.
Can you give any recommendations? I don’t like the bit fitter available here so we going to try a few from the bit bank :)

Sadly I don't have that level of knowledge. Is there honestly not another better fitter that travels to the area?
Not that I know of and I’ve just been made redundant so don’t really have the cash to splash on the consultation at the moment as he’s having all sorts of physio and massages that were pre-booked. That’s why I was looking at the bit bank.

I’ve used a Myler before when I first bought him but I was too inexperienced then, and he was too strong so I stopped using it :) which is why I’m reconsidering it
