Has anyone used Jenny the mobile Saddle Fitter from Saddlewise?

OMG!!! Just do a search on here on "saddlewise south west" and you'll get a whole HEAP of stuff. LOL. Better still just have a peek at her website with its "one saddle fits for life" philosophy and you'll have seen enough. I feel I cannot say more on here in public forum but there will be a whole lot of stuff in the HHO archives if you want to settle down with a bag of chips and a good bottle of wine :)

When my boy was on livery at a professional/BHS yard, she came over to do a saddle fitting for me: and in the process upset everyone from the YM down........ she was rude, abrasive, and downright embarrassing. It was a teaching yard and she was trying to tell the staff their jobs :( Not the best way to win friends and influence people, and IMO downright unprofessional. I was not amused, didn't need that sort of hassle frankly. And it was all so unnecessary. And the saddle didn't fit (she insisted it did), she always tends to fit too narrow, this is from my own experience and also from feedback from others who've used her.

Having said that....... to be fair, at one time she might, just possibly, have been at least half decent at her job because when I used her, she came very well recommended from the owner of a local stud (who doesn't exactly suffer fools gladly!!) and this person who recommended her was obviously happy with her. This was a good few years ago now though.

She is an extremely domineering woman and will flatly refuse to listen to anyone else's opinion so getting her out to see what saddles she's got and then make your own mind up, is deffo not an option. Unless you are an exceedingly strong personality and have a hide like a mammoth you are frankly wasting your time and energy "discussing" anything with her. She knows best and that's that, and virtually says so herself, on her website, so you are warned!!

Also bear in mind she has diddly squat qualifications. Not that this is necessarily a problem, as IME somebody can have a good "feel" for saddle fitting and yet not have the relevant certificates to prove it, for one reason or another.

Her call-out fee is cheap, BUT she makes up for this in the price of her saddles. Also if she takes one in part exchange, she offers you tuppence for it and then sells it on at a mega profit. OK so that's business I know and is only what everyone else does.
