has anyone used regumate?or anything alike 4 hormones!!

i have a very tense mare in season,been recog to use regumate from vets?or anything that works for hormones??thanks

Not personally, but a girl on jumpoff used regumate on her mare, and its now a serious headshaker. apparently her vets are 90% sure regumate is the cause of it. Sorry not much help at all seeming as you have been recommended it by your vets! Just a thought xx

Used regumate on an awful mare of mine and it did make a difference. Our vets gave us the pig regumate though as it was far cheaper. Not sure what that said about my horse, though!!!!

we used to use pig regumate on a mare...not only is it cheaper but it is actually a bit stronger...BUT....it is not licensed for use under FEI rules and some vets won''t use it

I used the regumate for pigs on my mare, it worked brilliantly, but when she came off it she went really hyper!

OMG she wont start oinking will she??i may try something i can purchase directly now,rather than take her to vets 1st?as i expect i will need to pay to see vet b4 he gives regumate out??Thanks 4 your help!

i use oestress at the moment for Fleur which has added magnesium which is a calmer.

She has definetly improved since going on it (about 3 weeks now) whether its just her not quite in season so much or what but she is far easier to handle and ride
