my horse has recently recovered from a check ligament injury and i am looking for a strong protective boot that he can wear on excercise and when turned out in the field. (he has others for competing).
i was looking at the Premier Equine sport boots - what does anyone think?

Ive got some and love them!

I have them for horse my horse who is recovering from a tendon injury, he wears them all day long when he is turned out. I think they aar great, nice and light and his legs stay nice and cool, they come up quite big tho as the medium was to big for my mums small tb.

I have the sports and the kevlar (check spelling!) sports boots for the mare I ride. Personally I prefer the kevlar as they have a splint support and are wider so wrap round the legs better (she has chunky legs). However I would recommend either type and the velcro is very very strong and stays that way.

very nice boots, light and flexible yet substantial - just prepare yourself for the first use trying to get them unvelcroed and velcroed back on... took me bloomin' ages!!

AHH the velcro drives me mad! Takes ages to undo them and then they stick back again when trying to put them on if you're not careful, also i put one on, go to put on the other leg and it sticks to the one i've already put on!

Apart from that they're very nice!

I've folded a bit of the velcro back & sowed it, so that they are easier to get off - doesn't take long & it's well worth it cos i can get them off so easily now!!!

I have them too and they are excellent quality but I find they come up small, width wise. I have the large fronts and xl hinds and although long in the length only just meet arround his legs and thats a squeeze. For a TB though they would probably be great. My horse is a 16.2 mw.

I have a medium sized pair for my 16.1 TB. Premier Equine advised me on size as I might have gone for large.
Agree with velcro experiences, but better than not sticking.
I also had loads of those sticky burs attach themselves to them once & it took ages to remove them.
