Had a fantastic morning with my not long backed youngster.

Knee deep in the water, a canter along the surf and mild enough to be in T-Shirt.

It really was pure heaven!!
 
Hope you had some jodhpurs on as well! ;)

Beautiful weather here today, too!

I would love to ride on the beach (ver jel!) but too scared! Maybe one day!
 
I've ridden horses for over 20 years and it's the first time I have ever been.

It's only 25 miles away too I am ashamed to say.

Must say my youngster did the best trot she ever has as I could just let her go forward into the bridle.

Also pleased that she braved the water and I will definately be doing it much more regularly now.

Ha ha - I would have got some looks from the dog walkers!!

It wasn't forecast great so I thought the beach would be quite.

Thankfully I think everyone else read the same forecast as there was hardly anyone there and the weather was amazing.
 
Well done for taking leap of faith sounds fabulous although sand and water could get everwhere without jods haha ! interested to know if you went on your own as I have beach within 5 miles but no one to go with and not sure if should go on own in case something happened (although hack out & box up on own all the time - just off now for quick leg stretch).

ps used to go sunrise and sunset with my mare - we were 20 mins hack over national trust ground to beach - do miss it - they closed the yard ! boohoo
