A normal leather cavesson noseband, with a small ring at the top, used for lunging. Could replace the normal noseband, and be lunged from the ring. Would not be large and clunky, and same in all other ways and normal noseband.

Just musing ;)

Anyone who steals my idea will make me vewwy angwy!

Think there's a reason why lunge cavesson is large and clunky...
But I do agree that quiet mature horses do not pull against lunge rein like youngsters or naughty ones might. Just need to be sure the noseband will not rub or move sideways when lungeing.

Yeah, thanks for feedback. Was thinking more in terms of using in conjunction with training aids such as equi-ami etc. which need the bit, but should be not be lunged from it, if that makes sense?

The Micklem bridle has a ring on the noseband for lunging, but the noseband is all one piece with the rest of the bridle. I've not seen a simple cavesson noseband with one.

You could always have your saddler adapt a noseband for you - or are you thinking of inventing one yourself?
