Have you ever had you horse sedated?
My vet says she sedates a huge amount of horses and ponies to be clipped/shod/have their teeth rasped or their sheathes cleaned etc and this surprised me.
My horse ended up being sedated this morning to have his teeth rasped. probably my fault as he had just been shod, watched his friends go out to the field, the horse next door was being clipped and the farrier was working on another horse outside his stable. Our yards usually quite and he is usually very well behaved for the vet etc but I think it all got a bit much for him to deal with in one go and he started getting bargy so he was sedated so the vet could safely finish rasping without being squashed.
