I can cope with the cold, so long as we don't have ice and frozen pipes, rain is okay (as in at least it isn't frozen!), but it's the long dark days that get me down.
Oh, and I've just bought thermal long johns in the Sports Direct sale for £4 - bargain! My winter clothing (and this is for work, which is indoors, it's no joke running a rural feed merchants on Dartmoor!) is long johns, Mark Todd waterproof padded riding trousers, two pairs of socks, Hitec snow boots, thermal base layer top and another four layers over that, Fleece lined warm blouson, trapper hat with warm ear flaps. Generally about May time people start commenting on how much weight I've lost... I haven't, I've just shed a few layers of clothes!
Winter is so boring though, get in from work, slump in front of laptop/TV, go to bed, wake up, start over...
I'm hoping to get by on rugs but I should sort the rug trunk to make sure I've got what I need. Hopefully Nitty will still fit into last years although frankly it is doubtful. She is turning into a brute. If I do decide I need anything I'll shout!
