Hats are so expensive now?!

sometimes you definitely don't pay for what you get and the high price point hats are a case in point, however if people want to buy them as a fashion statement then that is entirely up to them so long as they don't intend to use it after an accident because they paid so much for it. Equally I have a friend with a collection of motorbike helmets just to put on the wall too ;).

EKW, lots more seem to be showing in skulls these days, maybe that is why ;).

:lol: I have nothing against vanity (with the correct safety standards of course!) after all I am a dressage rider and need a glittery hat :eek3: that suits my head shape :lol:, I just fall off too much for s'pensive ones :o.
 
I have already been telling F my kit is worth more than he is for years ;) figure I best not make him feel any worse :eek3:

Another one! I needed a PAS015 hat to be allowed on a farm ride, so picked up one of these to pull double-duty as 'If I ever need a smart hat'. I only wear it when I have to because it's so huge I look like a mushroom. Also, I'm spoiled by the breathability of my everyday £180 Uvex.
 
Opted in the end for a newer version of the just togs velvet hat I already have - at least that way I know it should fit ok!

Fair point earlier of comparing boot cost to hat cost, I never really thought about that!
 
I bought my cowgirl hat 2 years ago.It was a bullhide straw hat.It served me very well and im very comfortable wearing it.

I wear it 24/7
