Hats for XC

Yesterday, my horse and I had a disagreement with a XC fence while schooling, and after a rather over the top run out which resulted in him sliding over sideways and flinging me into the fence head first, i'm in need of a new hat as my old one now makes a funny noise!

Has anyone got any recomendations for hats sutiable for xc??

Gatehouse HS1, very comfy, very good level of protection.
or the Lucinda Green style LPC-100, but if you manage to find one, please tell me where as i can't find one anywhere!

I absolutely LOVE my Champion Ventair - CO and Gatehouse don't fit my head!!!

i have an AP McCoy one sorry cant remember who makes them but there great - have bits round your ears to protect from getting kicked a bit more. Wouldn't go XC without mine now

Thanks for all your suggestions! Ill pop down the tack shop later this week and try your recomendations.

And yes I'm okay, got a bit of a sore neck and still a little bit of a head ache but the main thing is Charlie is okay

whichever fits you best!! the best protective hat in the world won't be any good if it doesn't actually fit your head shape! The best thing to do is have one fitted by a trained meber of staff at your tack shop....... however i have a gatehouse HS1 and absolutely love it!
