I certainly agree that you are either charles own or champion, champion fit me but charles owen are awful. Don't know about gatehouse, I've had my hat for ages
so haven't kept an eye on what is available.
Mmmmm must replace hat before landing on head...........
What I am trying to achieve is to decide on what hat range (s) to stock - I don't want to have two makes that are very similar in shape. So I *think* I will get some Gatehouse and then look at see what shape they are against say Charles Owen or Champion. That way I can have two ranges to offer customers and at least one make should fit!!!!
lol Kenzo, that must be why I like champion, if they come up small they must make me feel better about my massive big head............
Size 3 skull
My previous size 3 one was a bit too snug, there was me thinking the champion was a better shape and that was why the size 3 fits comfortably, but no, it's just vanity sizing and I have a big fat head!
Soph 21 - As you are a hat fitter can I ask some advice?
My head shape is perfect for peaked caps, and have yet to find a skull cap that fits my head properly. Is there a make of skull cap that is more likely to fit my headshape, or are they all very similar?
I'm a qualified hat fitter too...and I find that in general, regardless of make, skull caps are rounder in shape, whereas velvets and other types are more oval....
I cannot wear anything other than a skull cap as they just will not fit my rounder head!
I'm also a hat fitter, and I was told if a skull cap was needed, but the riders head didn't fit conventional skulls, go for a Charles Owen competitor skull. Possibly the ugliest, bulkiest skull cap ever produced, but does seem to fit the people with more oval head shapes.
