Hats

I borrow a hat at Mossburn (the rescue centre where i ride) and it's fine but i want to get my own one.

I know lidl are oging to have one for only £10 next saturday but do you think it woud be a good standard?
Also, do you think i should buy one or just stick with the borrowed one?

Part of the safety of a hat is that its fitted correctly, Lidl don't do this. Best bet is to go to a tack shop and have one properly fitted.

I wouldn't. Rather spend 50 quid on a hat that is up to standard and properly fitter; and skimp on things like jodpurs which aren't really that integral to safety.

as far as hats go its better to pay the money and get the right standard than risk it.

Get a well-fitted hat, kitemarked preferably. Charles Owen do reasonably priced hats that are kitemarked

IMHO you get what you pay for - so would rather spend the money and get a better quality fitted hat

I would recommend getting your hat fitted properly!

After all... it's worth every penny when you think about the alternatives!
