set any ' horsey ' goals yet for 2010? My daughter and I would like to have a go at Jump Cross. It looks like good fun and a happy medium for an old gal like me to tackle as I'm too stiff and nervoous now for full blown x country again and not particulary interested in show jumping. I would also be happy just to get my mare out and about again. She surprised me entirely this year by being a very good girl every time I took her out. I did two big pleasure rides. Whimpole Hall ( 15 miles, never again my poor bum) and Burghley ( Good fun) A 3 day clininc, trips out in the lorry for lessons and lessons at home.

Sometimes I think you have to just take the bull by the horns and go out there and do stuff. So here's to Dressage, jumpcross and a few showing classes ( that's if she can stop fidgeting enough for me to plait up reasonably well! )

To get riding again after my whiplash is my dream more than my goal at the mo

However, I would like to think it's do-able, and that I can then buy a new riding horse and have some competition goals.

Oh, and I also hope to get my broken girl in foal this spring

I'd like to have a go at a BE80(T) or an unaff event, but I think that's quite unlikely! So maybe just to get her hacking out nicely on her own :P

I'm trying to get tempi changes before the end of 2010. We've got two five strides apart, so it could be possible, if he has the aptitude. If you don't know, then tempis are canter flying changes with a "count" of the number of strides between them. One-time are no strides (it looks like skipping), and so on. It's my life goal to teach a horse one-time changes and skip all across the arena!!
