Have I been had here? Bucas rug from eBay...

I bought a second hand Bucas Altex 2000 on EBay. Can send pictures of required.

On arrival it appears that it can't be fastened At the front, there is just the slot part of a surcingle on each side, so it physically cannot be fastened at the front.


Am I being stupid here?

Obviously I was hoping the rug was fit for purpose to be used immediately, and the listing said its in good condition and ready to use 🤔

Any help with these rugs welcome! I googled it and a post from 2007 on here said the same but no helpful replies.

I found some images by googling bucas altex and clicking on images. They seem to have a flap that goes right across the chest and does up on the side?

If you don't have the flap i think you'd have a good case against the seller and should raise a complaint with eBay.

there should be a sort of bib that attaches to each side with it. it looks a bit like a horseware chest expander but wider

Yes I messaged the seller this morning, when I received the rug. No rely as of yet, but they may well work all day!

The picture above shows exactly what it should look like, so I am definitely missing part of it. That part isn't in the pictures of the listing. They clearly stated it was ready to use, so I guess I should have a case as its not fit for purpose if it can't be done up!
