Just wondering if I could ask your views on this as I have just sold my lorry but been told by someone this evening that they think I have undersold it. Too late now I know but.........

Brief details of the lorry are: D reg Merc, 7.5 ton, 3 horse plus living, sleeps 4, toilet, external tack locker, electric hook up, hob etc (all unused since we bought vehicle so no idea of they work)no tax but just been plated - what sort of value would you give this?

Thank you in advance and Easter Eggs for everyone :D:D

I think you have done well to sell it to be honest .. Ive been trying to sell mine, full living 04 chassis I would take 11k as it needs a small amout of simple diy to finish the conversion but is very useable. carnt get a sensible bid!!!!.. definaty a buyers market at the moment and I think the sort of people who would buy a cheaper lorry are the ones struggling to find cash for anything the wealthy still have money but they buy the £30k plus lorrys ...

Thank you both so much for your replies, you've made me feel much happier!!

Think the comment made to my OH last night made him think we had been hasty but I did point out that from what I can see lorries (welll anything really!) aren't selling easily. It needs (in my opinion) quite a bit of tidying up so I think we did the right thing - you've helped confirm my thoughts, especially when I mentioned the subject this morning and he agreed with me!

Thank you! :D:D

Well done for selling it! I'd estimate around 3K?
To be honest not many lorries are selling at all. I've just picked up an N reg PRB built Iveco for 5K and then spent and extra 1K putting in a new floor and replacing brake pipes.

Thank you! Spot on what I sold for - you've all reassured me that I did the right thing - now I've just to to find a new lorry for myself............

Thanks again to you all :)

If you sold it for £3K then I think you did well, we sold out B reg for £2250 2 years ago so £3K would be about right for the D reg now I think. Obviously a lot depends on the condition as well but £3 is definitely reasonable - if not very good actually!

i think thats about right. I have just brought a ford cargo B reg in lovely condition with full years tax and plate for £2k. so yes a D reg would be about the right price you sold it for. I wouldnt pay much more than that for a D reg. A person I know (who must be living on a cloud) has a lorry for sale E reg, and its not in great condition and needs plating and wants 7k for it!! hmmmmmm
