I've had a look at the new colours and I'm quite disappointed. Well not that I really care about the colours, only have one, but they seem to be running out of colours. It seems as if they discontinue colours from a while ago, then bring out new colours that look the same 😅

They sell different shades and call it a day, I do imagine they may come out with maybe more colours or perhaps will bring out the discontinued for a limited amount of time, people go crazy over their stuff and many still ask for when things may come back

I can't tell the difference between Mustard and the more recent Dijon.

I have the mustard and really like it.

I think they may need a tie in with Farrow & Ball who come up with new colours every year and they are always what you need.

The other problem is other manufacturers are catching up and they have more competition now.

The thing is that you need to choose paint to a really high level of colour match, so colours can be super close but look quite different in situ and make a big difference to the overall effect. Saddle pad colours have to be quite different to have a different effect on the horse, and there are only so many basic shades out there!

It's mainly younger horsey people that I see with le mieux saddle pads, my friends teenager has over 30 saddle pads 😩

As long as she's spending appropriately on things the horse really benefits from and especially things he needs (regular saddle checks, bodyworker etc etc) then it's fine but it does seem insane, and there must be some horses going without what they need because of this apparent addiction.

I have a small collection of saddle pads 😳
I think 4 of them are le mieux and one of those is a numnah for showing so rarely used. All of them were either sale or end of line so bought at half price.

I have 3 Epic ones, those are the only ones I have that I paid full price for.

I like to keep 2 at the yard so if one gets wet or sweaty there is a spare available and I can take a sweaty dirty one home to wash and take another spare to the yard until I've cleaned the first.

It doesn't matter.

The colours you see on your screen never match the real-life colours, in any case.

And the names given to the colours are tenuous, at best.

There was a thread on Language Log about a neural network that invents names for paint colours, back in 2017. ChatGPT might do even better worse.

All the new colours look like they are faded versions of something else really not keen on any of them, last summer colours were nice as they were bright I only wear the clothes I don't buy the saddle pads I've got a few head collars.

My 2 favourite jackets I have are in Navy and truffle I wear those quite a bit.

Just go for Mattes instead 😄 , plenty of colours to suit everyone and fully custom (quilt, binding and optional sheepskin and piping can all be chosen).
I just heard of them due to this comment, I just looked. I'm loving their trekking saddle pad that looks really useful! I like their stuff, perhaps as a treat though.. Thank you for sharing 😉

Mattes quality is brilliant. I have their sheepskin saddle pads that must 10 years old & look as good as new 🙂
I don't have a horse but I want one to hang up on my wall 😂😂😂 what a beautiful selection of colours too, what a solid find 😍

I'm waiting for the fig to be reduced to clear, because that's how I get most of my Lemieux!

I'm absolutely one of the people who has an embarrassingly large collection of saddlepads, to the point that solid coloured ones have lost most of their appeal because I invariably have something that's a very close match. However, I'm always weak for a funky pattern, and Shires Arma are always a good bet for that.

Girls at the yard just buy the white ones second hand and dye them and the ears. You can pick white ones up for next to nothing.

Yes but then again there are only so many colours that exist ,
I wish they would do more pattern ones though, something similar to the heritage as they have always been popular

second this! i love the heritage ones, i got the plum one for a bargain on fb marketplace but i now need a large dr so its basically being used as decoration in the tack room😂
