My poor little Welsh sec a pony was diagnosed with bone cancer a few months ago. I have had her since I was five, so ten years now. She is 26 and although she can no longer be ridden, she was living a happy life going out for walks everyday. However over the last few days I have noticed she has become very thin, although I'm feeding her what I always have, giving her extra hay and more grazing time. She is also finding it hard to get around now, having to walk very slowly. She is now completely blind in one eye which is no help to her.
She was very happily regardless of all of this, but now I can tell she is different. The vet told me at the time to call when i thought it was time, and as much as I hate it, I think it might be. It would be selfish of me to keep her alive when I know she is in a lot of pain.
I just wanted to see what others think before I do anything :'(
