We got them last week at the same time as little Hughie, as two extra suprises to take to back with us. I don't think I introduced them at the time.
As from tomorrow they'll be back in [as been out in isolation for a week, yard rules ] and shall start the big world of being riding ponies! :)

They're both New Forests, the dark bay is very nice indeed and has quite good bloodlines I think from the brief research I did on them. The chestnut has nice lines too and should be a nice little allrounder pony. Dark bay's 4 and the chestnut's 3 I think. They're both about 14.2 I'd guess.

I'll get some good pics once we've got them in, spruced up and washed out...for the minute only got the ones of them out in the field :)

Anyway. Here are the little monkeys :) :

The bay's called Clover which I can live with...but the chestnut's called Noreen. Noreen. I don't think I can actually say that out loud calling a horse lol. Alternative name ideas? Ha. Bless her.

Lovely - still like the colt with the droopy lip though.:D

Noreen is a poor, poor name. No living creature deserves that. Norry could be a suitable replacement though!

Lol. Droopy lip's still up advertised B.Saddles ;) Haha.

Haha. Cheese Puff. I can't see her advert eventually reading 'Cheese Puff for sale' though!!!

Someone came up with a good name the other day, but I've completely forgotten what it was! So back to the drawing board again lol.

Lovely ponies!

It's funny though coz over here (Belgium) we've just recently been involved in two horse transactions where one of the parents is a New Forest pony?!?!?!

I did have to explain to OH that they are English and not Irish. But, they seem to be getting the respect they deserve over here - particularly as jumping ponies/horses? :)

Thanks all!! They should be a bit of fun to do. I reckon the chestnut will have a nice pop on her jumping :)

Awww lovely ponies :)

I think you should call Naureen Oaky (or should that be Oakie?)

Or Penny, Jaffa :D or Tango!

I just looked up the name Noreen and found this...

A classic Irish name, it could be a shortened form of Eleanor meaning "torch" or could be from the Latin Honora meaning "honor, reputation" and became so popular in Ireland in the Middle Ages that many people assumed it was Irish. Noreen is the diminutive of Nora and means "little honourable one

Awww, little honourable one!! You could call her Honour.

Haha, it is sort of funny though.

We'll see if she's still the little honourable one when we're backing her haha!!!
