Sent your pooch off to the doggi parlour to spruce them up for christmas...well if u have u should be ashamed...I spent the last 2 days cutting and styling over 20 dogs...and Im sick as a chip

, and I only do it when I can be bothered

And I wrapped them in a lovely bow

Anybodys pooch been for a christmas spruce and clean......for when the family come around for christmas dinner...lol

i will give my little one a bath on xmas eve as i'm going to my sisters in laws so want him to smell all lovely and be clean

Beastie needed spruced up. She was a hairy monster! Got clipped today and actually looks like a schnauzer

nope, me and mum do it ourselves! a lovely bath, dog smelling nice, hair trimmed, private part trim for my boy, nails trimmed/filed etc. its heaven

except it doesnt really run smoothly:
run bath

get scissors, towels etc ready

chase dogs round house

put in bathroom

remove collar

lift a 20 kg dog ( or a 28 kg depending on who goes first) dog into the bath

wet dog, rub in shampoo and then wash out
- whilst managing to hold the weight of the dog who refuses to stand up in the bath or keeps trying to escape

dry dog off in bathroom and then take into bedroom with bed covered in a protective sheet and finish drying off dog

trim bits that need trimming (whilst trying to pin down the dog)

do anything else that needs doing

put t-shirt on dog that needs it

and then repeat for other dog!

it takes us about 3 hours to do with dogs lol

i think we are doing it tomorrow

and if not trimming you end up with dogs looking like this:

Whippets are self-cleaning and very fragrant

....unless they roll in something v.stinky or muddy, my boys get their nails & teeth done regularly, with a nice warm bath once in a while

my two always stink, well especially gracie (brown brindle) they seem to be attracted to disgusting smells

Foxy dog had a Christmas clip booked for this week but we cancelled it a few weeks ago due to the dogs advanced age and the cold weather. It seemed kinder to both the dog and the groomer to cancel as we knew she was already overbooked for that day including a couple of big dogs. See, some people do care about the groomers.

Anyway as she's not really fit to travel over Christmas and so won't be we don't need to worry about how scruffy she looks any more. Cute and scruffy anyway.
