So my question is, is our dog just a total freak or has he got some sort of deficiency..
He has an obsession with one persons feet, one dogs mouth an other dogs ears, he will happily spend a good 5 minutes licking them if he gets a chance, he only licks one persons feet and one specific dogs ears and one dogs mouth and never changed

Lol don't think it's anything abnormal, I have one who licks feet, one who licks windows, one who licks laminate and cupboard doors  We had one who liked to lick her son's ears out, my auntie has one who likes to suck on his mum's ears and another who was obsessed with belly buttons

Try having dogs who love to lick.... babies!!! They're not generally particularly 'licky' dogs at all, but seem to find babies both fascinating and - erm - delicious :eek::confused:.

Thankfully they've only so far only subjected one baby to their ministrations, and that was my very understanding friend's baby, but they are clearly verrrry keen to give all babies a good licking :o. So I'm now using said friend's baby to train them out of this rather alarming habit!! I can't imagine many new mums would be keen to have their offspring drooled over by my two woolly lumps! :D

Just noticed, was in the kitchen starting dinner and had left my crutches propped against the sink (broken ankle  ) and Risk, one of two of my clearly not so intellingent JRT puppies, was stood there licking them! Doh!! :D

Brig lves feet and licks the car window all the way to the woods. Definitely weird! If anyone has a cut, he gets very obsessed and let me know about the cat's abbess that I hadn't noticed.

My horse licks the wall outside his stable (but refuses supplements/lickits/salt licks ). Turning him out tonight, one of his mates started licking him!

2 of my 3 dogs like feet, 1 of them likes to lick hands, arms and legs as well if she gets a chance. Our JRT licks and tries to bite the old bit of carpet I have in the bottom of his dog crate in our Camper, he has done it so much he has worn his top canine teeth right down.He does it no matter what floor is in the cage.

My dog has always been an obsessive licker of feet (& sandals & she had a sock obsession as a puppy), mostly my mum's (prob cos she's usually the only one daft enough to let her!) but as she's got older she's moved on to licking the computer chair (think it's prob cos of all the food my brother's spilt on it over the years), her bed and her feet (usually after rolling around "grooming" her ears, which the vet has checked btw and there's nothing amiss she's just a little odd).
