I have just woken up at 3.30am with this feeling. I lay in bed awake for 5 mins and heard my wee sec A colt neigh a couple of times. That's not unusual as he's a colt and neighs A LOT but there was something about it.

Anyway, I got up and went out into the wind and rain, pitch black with a torch and shouted on him. He neighed back but didn't come to see me which was odd. So I traipsed into the field and he was standing tangled up in the electric fencing!

Ran back to switch it off at the mains and it wasn't on! OH forgot to switch it back on after faffing with the fence earlier on! Aaaargh.

Anyway, that's good cos it means the poor toot hasn't been getting electrocuted. Untangled him in the dark and led him inside and thankfully he's fine. He must have realised not to panic and had just been standing shouting waiting to be rescued, poor soul.

Have you ever had an experience when you knew something was wrong before you discovered it?

I had a dream once when I was in high school that a friend of mine had been shot in the head. I woke up in a cold sweat and looked at the clock. Just about 3 am. Found out the following morning that at about 3 am he'd been shot in the head. Very, very strange.

Oh, and he survived.

wow that was lucky good job you followed your instinct!

I was feeding my friends youngsters for her a couple of weeks ago, and they are fed in the field. i gave the feeds out and they started eating, normally i would then go back over to where my horse was tied up and groom her or whatever but this time i felt i needed to stay with them.....i stood watching and 2 minutes later one of the fillies started choking on her dinner and was completely panicked and terrified, throwing herself on the floor and almost running through the fence so i caught her brought her in and walked her around until she cleared the choke herself....i seem to be the choking horse magnet at the moment!!

It has happened to me many times before, so I never ignore that feeling.
The last time was on friday I arrived at work and had a feeling something wasn't right, one of the ponies had caught her front leg in her haynet her leg was suspended in the air thankfully she hadn't panicked but I suspect the poor soul had been there quite a while bless her.
